PRIDE MONTH 2026

(June is born from a gesture that became a march. In 1969, after the Stonewall uprising in New York, bodies once made invisible took to the streets as a manifesto. One year later, on June 28, 1970, the first Pride parade—then called Christopher Street Liberation Day—crossed Manhattan without floats, but with courage. It was protest, not celebration. As in art, the public act transformed pain into language, presence into aesthetics, and inaugurated a global procession of freedom. Since then, every step carries memory, style, and politics in motion. Alive and free.)
